To be a carpenter is to be a member of one of the oldest and most respected trades. Chartered in 1938, Carpenters Local 1281 is the largest UBC Local in Alaska. Local 1281 services the area of Southcentral Alaska, south of the 63rd parallel, and is located in Anchorage. Our members perform every aspect of the trade working as commercial carpenters, residential carpenters, interior systems carpenters, lathers & drywallers, cabinet makers, and millworkers.
