Our Mission Statement

The Alaska Regional Council of Carpenters is dedicated to improving the Alaska building and construction trades industry. We strive to improve the working conditions and standard of living on behalf of all workers.

With employers, contractors, and subcontractors we seek to build partnerships by providing stability through a highly motivated and skilled workforce that produces quality work in a safe manner.

The Alaska Regional Council of Carpenters achieves its mission in two ways. First, we do this through our member’s daily efforts of producing work of the highest quality on each and every project. And second, through a responsible staff of Field Representatives dedicated to meeting our Employer’s needs.

The Alaska Regional Council of Carpenters is chartered and affiliated with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. The ARCC is dedicated to improving the Alaska building and construction trades industry. The United Brotherhood of Carpenters (UBCJA) was organized in 1881. The UBC remains the largest and most progressive of all of the building trade unions in the US and Canada.

As part of a nationwide effort to modernize and re-organize, the UBC chartered the Alaska Regional Council of Carpenters (ARCC) on April 1, 2002. The ARCC is comprised of five Local Unions and three Apprentice training centers with more than 2000 members and growing. The ARCC is the central coordinating body providing direction for all UBC Locals in Alaska.

The Alaska Regional Council of Carpenters achieves its mission in two ways. First, we do this through by providing stability through a highly motivated and skilled workforce which produces quality work in a safe manner. And second, we are committed to innovative leadership and successful partnerships that deliver real business value.

Everything we do is aimed at making the construction industry more efficient and profitable for everyone involved-from the customer to the contractor to the carpenter in the field. That is why we consider ourselves your “Partners in Construction” .
